Chiang Mai - End of Feb good time to come?

I'm planning a trip towards the last few days of Feb and it is primarily to see the Elephants and other nature. What sort of weather can we expect?

It will be nice during the day and a bit cool/chilly at nite. It's to bad you can't make it the first weekend of Feb as thats when Chiang Mai does its Flower festival. Lasts all weekend with a flower/float parade and lots of street food, street shops and such....

I was in Chiang Mai at the end Febuary this year.

I was starting to get hot, as it is aproaching the Hot Season Time so be prepared.

The beast time to visit is December and January.

It will be very hot and humid for you as the weather in London will be very cold.

The weather starts getting hotter by the end of February. Not up to the level of late March / April heat, but noticeably hot. It is still in the dry season.

Unfortunately as it is the end of rainy season, everything is really dry, the lush green forests are dark and many trees have shed their leaves. Brush fires are becoming prevalent.

While it is a bit late at this point, November & December are the best times for nature, as the forests and fields are bright green, many trees are blooming. The streams are running and the air is pretty clear.
