Hi,

We stayed here a year ago and loved it, by the river and close to the night market:

Anyway, check the rates on the link.

HI chinwei90,

The above link is a guest house. However, there are many others closer to the city centre. Do state your budget so others can advise.

Hi, Chinwei90,

We have booked our stay in December with Top Garden Boutique Guest House. The reviews on tripadvisor are really good.

Andy, do you know if the ground floor rooms are okay - I have trouble with stairs. The place looks good - nice gardens... I'm looking for a 2-day stay in Chiang Mai after I come back from up north. Already have a place booked for the first week in CM.

Do you think the Deluxe room is worth it or go for the Standard rm in the old bldg?

Also, are there tuktuks nearby that I can catch to other parts of Chiang Mai?

Hi,

Yes, the ground rooms are fine Skeezix, nothing special but clean and comfortable. The guesthouse is close to a road with plenty of transport available. Indeed, we often took a songtaow somewhere, just make sure you arrange the fare beforehand.

If you don't plan on spending much time in the room go for a standard room.

Andy.

Have a look at Funky Monkey - it is reviewed on T/A. The problem is they only have 3 rooms (which are huge!) so they get booked up quickly.

Happy travels!

MissIndy is right, it seems Funky Monkeys are bookedout quickly, they didn't have a room available for me, so I am staying at the Top Garden Boutique Guesthouse in two weeks time, as it got good reviews.

Happy to let you know how it was...

Also check out the Airbnb site. They have quite a few places listed for Chiang Mai.
