White Water Rafting

We will be in Chiang Mai from March 1-3. Wondering if it is possible to go White Water Rafting. I have heard rumors that the water is too low.

Also does anyone have a reccommended tour for this?

Unfortunately March is five months into the dry season, so the rafting is pretty much shot. The rivers here are pretty much nature controlled, not dam controlled, so at the mercy of rainfall or lack thereof.

You can always ask once you get here, mother nature sometimes throws us a curve ball weatherwise.

Siam Rivers is a good reliable rafting company, abiding by international safety standards, overseen by an American expat.

It is possible. I went around late March in '07 and the water was low but still good for rafting. This didn't stop the guides from jumping around and making it enjoyable. Check with any tour agent there and you will find out if that is being offered.
