Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden

When we are staying in Chiang Mai we would like to go to the Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden. How long does the journey take and what is the best mode of transport to get there. How much would the mode of transport cost, we are four adults. We do not want to visit anything on the way there or back. Thank you for your help.

The gardens are about 20 kilometers up the Samoeng Road in Mae Sa Valley. There is no public transport, you would need to hire a car or get a taxi or van with driver. Its an hour plus each way depending on traffic.

It is pretty quick and easy to get to using the modes of transport suggested by Mr Cycling. A songtheaw would probably take you there and wait for you for (I'm guessing) around 1,000 baht.
