Chiang Mai from Bangkok

Hi I will be in Bangkok in Feb and intend to travel to Ayuthaya then hope to euther keep travelling up or is it bst to go back to Bangkok, then catch a train or bus to Chiang Mai.

Also how to get to Chiang Rai from chiang Mai is best.

Keep going from Chiang Mai form Ayuthaya. Chiang Rai is relatively close to Chiang Mai

It's not necessary to go back to Bangkok. Catch the bus to Chiang Mai from Ayuthaya.

You can continue to Chiang Mai from Ayuthaya, it will save you time and money.

You don't need to go back to BKK again. Catch the train from Ayuthaya to Chiangmai.

Get to Chiangrai from Chiangmai is easy. Go to Arket ( bus station ) and choose the best time for you to go. It takes about 3 hours.
