prices for food and drink

Hi

we have just booked to stay at the Anatara Spa for Christmas this year. We think having read some of the reviews that the cost of eating and drinking at the hotel may proove a little costly. Any suggestions as to best / good places to eat and have a few drinks in the evening and rough budget in and around the fisherman cove Bophut beach area?

also taxi fayers - reasonable??

thanks

It tends to be just slightly pricier I find in fishermans village for food and drink. still not uk standards.

You are never far from anywhere on Samui though. you will find all number of small places don't go for the fancy places for Thai food it is just as good in the smaller establishments.

We find that the food on Samui is consistently good and of a high standard.

Food in the Fishermans Village is cheap compared to what you will pay at home.

We especially liked The Happy Elephant for Thai and Seafood, Villa Bianca is good Italian. there are always new places popping up so enjoy exploring, for drinks we liked the Billabong Surf Club.

Enjoy
