Yes stayed there. Lovely beach. You can swim out quite far before it gets deep. Tide didn't seem to affect it, it was always about 5-10 metres to the water.

It is a pretty beach but not so touristy which means a lot of it is not cleaned so it can be weedy or have some sea debris. There are quite a few private houses directly on the beach which keeps it nicely quiet. The opposite end from Big Buddha gets very shallow at low tide and is quite rocky but has a lovely sandbar to walk too (shoes recommended). The best swimming is in the middle. Sand can be narrow at high tide like Bophut beach on the next bay. The hotels are pretty ordinary with a couple of exceptions - Saboey and Pumpreeda come to mind although have stayed at neither. There is a mixture of shops, coffee shops, restaurants (most reasonable but not legendary) and quite a few (IMO) unattractive bars.
