Fisherman village

Hi, what time is it best to get there for, for the Friday night market?

How much to get there roughly from chaweng?

Also can you visit the big budda at any time? Don't want to be going in the heat of the day?

Thanks

Naomi

Hi

The market start around 5ish and finished around 10 ish. I'd get there around 6-7 PM. Taxi from chaweng (depended on where in chaweng) should be from 350 baht.

hi

big buddha is open only in the daylight hours so not worth going there later

maybe go there late in the afternoon [its not a big place ]

then maybe catch the views on sunset boulavard [causeway out to big buddha] , then head off to fishermans village market for dinner ?

no problems with catching taxis or songtaews from these places they are on main roads

cheers

Although they hike the prices up a bit on a Friday for the night market Songthaews are cheaper than a taxi and they're everywhere.
