Not worth it. Nothing much to see. Kpn has some nice beaches and that is it. Better off doing a snorkelling trip to Tao.

Hi

There are boats, ferry from Samui to phangan daily. Motorbike from Samui to Phangan I don't think you can. Beside that not/ none would allowed you to take the bike of the island.

hi guys

hire scooter once over there , but be warned theres many dirt roads there where scooters dont do so well

ferry from bangrak to Haad rin goes 4 or 5 times daily

seatran and lomprayha ferries twice daily from memory to Tongsala [main port ]

day trip around Phangan by boat also an option and quite scenic

cheers

You can hire a bike when you arrive but remember to take your passport or they will not hire. It is nice for a day trip despite what the other reviewer says. The roads are much quieter than Samui and nicer to drive on.

There are several good beaches and some nice places to eat. Don't bother heading towards the full moon party beaches but go in the opposite direction (anti clockwise) around the island and you will find some nice places. I would suggest taking the coast road then coming back down the middle. The roads are good and the island is very scenic. There are a few dirt roads to explore if you want but the main roads will take you where you want. It takes about 25 mins to get across the island so you can do a lot of exploring in a day. Don't forget to take a map. Have a good trip.

Hi

I meant clockwise round not anti clockwise. Sorry.

LOL, we love a day trip to Koh Phangan.

We arrange the ferry ourselves with Lomprayah. We don't hire a scooter when we get there as the roads are pretty cr@p and it mean taking your original passport and driving licence. We hire a songtheaw for the day. They will take you to a beach, a tour, drop you off, meet you, what ever you want. We only use the slow boat from Bangkrat is we want to head to Had Rin - but nothing to see there - the ride to Sala Thong is pretty scarey in places and not something I would want to ride on a scooter. We normally head to the beaches along the west coast!

We normally head to a beach and chillax there. There is not a huge amount to see on the island, but it is a great change to Samui.

Some wrong advice above. You dont need a passport to hire a bike. Simply a photocopy.
