Chardonnay or similar.

It's been years since we were last in Thailand. Those days, one couldn't buy a bottle of wine, plenty of beer, that suited hubby, :-). Have things changed? Can it be bought in supermarkets, assuming one can buy it, of course.

Thank you in advance

Yes it can, we like to buy from the Friendship Supermarket as the prices seem a little lower but wine is stocked in plenty of places now.

Many thanks for your response. Can you give an estimation of price per bottle please? I might have to save some extra pennies :-)

I will have to let somebody else answer that one, Mrs Gippy takes care of the money in supermarkets! There is a wide price range but think they start around 300 baht for a bottle? It will certainly be more than you are used to as the import tax on wine is very high.

Compared to my home country the wine is not too cheap but easy to find.

By the way, Pattaya has a winery!

Try the Mont Clair...red or white.

Most bars sell it......it's reasonable.

5 days ago we paid 850 baht for a 5L box from the wholesale place in Thepprasit Road, Jomtien.

Big C & Tescos sell it as well...a little dearer.
