You may wish to check a map, Pattaya is not an island.

Hi

Pattaya is not island. If you want party shops beach town then Pattaya. If you want tropicals island feels then Samui.

As to sexy top and very short seeing you're coming from Malaysia you look just like any Thai girls. If you're not with your husband or boy friend then don't do it. Many men out there ( in Pattaya in particular ) will mistake you for the worst if you know what I mean.

Take it form me I'm Thai married white man. Over the year I developed thick skin but sometime it still bothering me. Leave the sexy outfit for the bedroom.

Koh Samui is an island, Pattaya is a beach town on the mainland. You have much better chances of finding a location that feels romantic on Samui. However, September to November is the rainy season there and during the last few days the rains have been heavy and seas rough. The weather should clear up in December, though.

Going topless in public has caused arrests in Thailand, but you should be safe enough if your breasts won't keep popping out of your top and you are recognizably wearing something. The locals must be pretty used to tourists wearing skimpy outfits that Thais themselves consider inappropriate.

Coming from Malaysia Westerners probably think that you look like a Thai. If you dress up very provocatively in Pattaya it is very likely that you will be mistaken for one of the numerous locals who provide temporary companionship for a fee. This means that you may attract rude attention from drunk tourists if you are alone on the street or in a bar. In Samui the risk is lower although the island is not free of professional entertainers. Your companion might also find it embarrassing if the first reaction of any passerby is that he has bought some local company.

Look at a map and find Pattaya and Koh Samui. Do a Google search for how to get to Koh Samui. Pattaya is 2 hours away by cheap bus. Pattaya does have a crappy beach but also some of the cheapest local transportation and hotels cheaper than many beach areas. If budget is a concern Pattaya is easy and cheap to get to from Bangkok.

You can get by with clothing you can not wear in Malaysia. But you shouldn't walk around nearly naked unless you are auditioning for something!

Good luck.

Hi

My 2 cents worth about romantic

extreme sexy tops and shorts is not romantic that is working girl attire.

romantic should be classy long form fitting evening dress could be sleave less nothing too reveling but enough to show you are a beautiful woman more alluring than in your face nudity

tha tis just my opinion

you will be fine wearing sexy shorts/tops - its classic wear for thai ladies all over thailand especially with nightlife. Do your thing and stop worrying about the negative nellies on here. ;)

You can wear what you want in most of the hotels and bars but some of the better resturants are a little fussy about what your wear. If you are intending to eat at the like of Bruno's, Mata Hari etc you'll look out of place in such places even the ladies of the night tend to dress well when they are taken there.
