For the cost of your plane tickets visit a travel agency in your town. They will go over how much various flights cost. (Usually no cost and no obligation.) Or, pull up your favorite airline that has international flights to Bangkok. Then enter departure date, return date and a price will appear. Check often to see if the price changes. Vary your departure dates to see if price changes.

Some tourists your age visit Koh Phangan. Pattaya does not have a good beach for swimming.

A forum search will give you several posts on "how much money," "spending money," cost for 10 days," etc. Different tourists have different amounts of money available. You may all have rich parents and have more money or on a tight budget. My advice is for you to fit your spending to what your budget allows. Bangkok is cheaper than Edinburgh or London. Unless you usually stay in 5 star hotels, then your expenses will be the same.

Sample search. Copy and paste if it doesn't click on.

You have a year to look over old posts on this question; also take the time to read up on visas, how to carry/handle cash, what to see and do, etc. .

Keep your daily spending budget separate from the cost of plane tickets. For a daily spending budget start with 1000 baht to 3000 baht per day. First see if Pattaya is best for your age group, especially if actual beach swimming is something you want to do. For June expect some rain.

It's impossible to say. Pattaya is cheap enough but you may or may not know that pattaya is full of bars with literly thousands of working girls who will be doing their utmost best to get you to part with your cash!!! So a lot depends on how you handle this, or how you want to handle this!!!!!

No one knows how much your round trip flights to Bangkok will cost a year from now. If there is still turmoil in Iraq and other places in the Middle East I would expect future flights might be higher priced than right now.

In Thailand you have kid backpackers staying in cheap dorms and eating off the street and at food courts on a thousand baht a day for everything. Other tourists spend 1000 baht on some of their meals or nights out.

Figure out how much you can afford per day (after paying for plane tickets) and try to fit your holiday to that budget range.

You have almost a year to work things out. You can check the cost of your flights yourself.

Flights will be approx £520, it will be a bit lower if you can get to Heathrow. June is very much off peak no school holidays. You should be able to get something decent in Pattaya for 600 Baht per night (£11) low season, without breakfast. So your accommodation £100-£110 for 10 nights unless you want to push the boat out.

You can live cheaply in Pattaya, good American or UK style breakfasts for less than 100 Baht (£2). Street food, fresh fruit very cheap. In many gogo and beer bars draft beer 60 Baht especially happy hour, just a little over a £1.

Depends what you want to do, how much you drink, if you want to frequent the high end more expensive nightclubs. Post #4 about sums Pattaya up. "Up to you!"

it really depends if you are going to go apexxxx with the ladies and the booze! im an older geezer who does not drink much except for a couple of bottles of san Miguel light, but ive spoken to young guys over there who spend a fortune on drinks, including of course 'lady drinks' £100 per day will disappear quickly if you booze a lot never mind the ladies!

the draft beer spoken of by some posters is as bad as bat's piss, so many young guys will soon hit the more expensive beers and spirits!

do yourselves a big favour and join a specialist entertainments forum such as Pattaya addicts and get yourselves prepared, ask the daftest questions you will get wise answers. At least you have a year to plan and research

please feel free to pm me for any other info
