Hi,

We were at the Best Western and hired a bike from a place just across the road, but I am sure you won't have to look far.

We paid 200 Baht.

Hi Cathy.

What is common now is the requirement to leave your passport behind with the operator. To circumvent this you might be able to organise a hire through your hotel, this might be a little more expensive but worthwhile for security reasons. When I hired a bike the hire people didn’t want to consider anything less than a 24 hour return, even though I said I’d be happy to return the bike in the evening.

If you want to just cruise around and stay away from busy areas I strongly suggest you ride along the coast road to Naithon, go slow as it’s absolutely spectacular, the best area in Phuket.

Have fun & ride safe, Paul.
