scuba diving

we are planning a trip to Phuket in December. Anyone out there had an experience with scuba diving with Phuket Pro Dive. I heard they were good peps. Any good dive sites to mention as well? Thanks C

We haven't dived with them yet but I have met the people who run Pro Dive and several TAs who have been on dive trips with them. They do come highly recommended.

Hopefully next visit we will do a dive with them.

There are very, very different views on the company and the people running it.

There are many different dive shops over Phuket, where do you plan to stay, Patong, Karon or Kata. We are going again in December for 3 weeks and plan to do lots of diving again, last time we went we went to the Similian Islands, which was great and the time before that, we did Shark Point, King Cruiser Wreck, Anemone Reef.

As for Pro Dive, we have never used them and not really heard anything good or bad.

If you are keen on Liveaboard Cruises pherbst then do as Scubawitch does - go to The Similan and Surin Islands. But consider a min of 3 to 4 days there if you want to see the best of these sites. Superb diving there!

Also the daytrips to The King Cruiser Wreck/Sharkpoint/Anemone Reef/Koh Doc Mai and Phi Phi areas are well worth it.

Safe diving!

Chantal.
