itinerary question

We are visiting Thailand in November and during our visit we will be taking a 7 day Star Clipper cruise. The cruise leaves and finishes in Phuket and visits the following:-

Ko Adang, Penang, Butang Group, Ko Khai Nok, Phang Nga, Ko Hong and the Similan Islands.

We had planned to spend a night or two post cruise in either Phuket or Ko Phi Phi. After reading how touristy and busy these two islands can be, I am wondering if we should just move on post cruise? Will we be disappointed in Phuket and Ko Phi Phi after visiting the much less touristy islands on the cruise? We also have limited time post cruise to visit other areas. Thanks in advance for any advice.

If its only a few nights, then stay in Phuket somewhere. You will lose a day in travel to and from Phi Phi.

There are lots of non touristy areas, but where to stay depends on your budget and how remote you would like to be.

Hard question for us to answer, as we have no idea as to what you think is touristy and busy.

There is defiantly to sides to Phuket, you have the loud and action packed Patong at night through to the beautiful relaxing Nai harn Beach.

Personally we love it all warts and all and my advice would be to spend time in Phuket as it has allot more to offer than you think.

Cheers, Pete.
