Best restaurants - Laguna/Bang Tao beach area

Looking for recommendations for restaurants in the Laguna resort/Bang Tao beach area. Don't really want to be paying top prices every time, so combination of quality and affordability would be appreciated!!

Thanks.

There are about 25 or so good to excellent Thai restaurants right on the sand of BangTao Beach all up and down the bay.

There is a slideshow of many of them here:

phuketgoldcoast.com/BangTao_BeachShack_Resta…

along with recommended dishes at some of them.

Most of these restaurants are within a 10-12 minute walk from just about any Laguna resort beachfront.

The slideshow works well in IE - not so well in FireFox

One of my favorites is on the far north end of BangTao Beach (the far north is also known as Layan Beach) where you will find the Layan Beach Restaurant - great fried rice dishes, beautiful beach, wonderful area. See it here:

That should get you started . . . for Thai food and beach restaurants.

As it sounds like you are staying at Laguna ? - there are numerous restaurants along the entrance road. If you don't always want Thai food most restaurants offer some other options and Woody's Sandwich Shoppe out on the entrance road has some great options for breakfast and light fare.
