1. Re: phuket information

With a 3 year old, I would choose Kata, as it is a little less busy.

Surin and Kamala beach will also be fine.

It is generally very safe and the best place for collectibles will be Phuket Town

Have a nice trip

hi

yes with a 3 year old Karon or Kata beach ares would be best, more for families, lots of shops/markets resurants and lovely beach areas, Kata is a quiet area but has shops etc and not far from Karon beach

Le Meridien resort is good and has its own private little beach and great pools,

April is a great time to visit for the weather, and overall Phuket is a safe area to visit, we have never had any problems at all, we have always felt quite safe there

3. Re: phuket information

April is the hottest month of the year usually.

But the tourists are not as prevalent.

Patong gets a little too crazy for kids IMO.

I agree that Kata might be a better choice.

Good luck and have fun

Kata would be better or if you want a small private beach that is safe there is the Cape Panwa Hotel, they have free transportation often to the Kantaray bay hotel and they have street sellers at night, it is also next to the Phuket Aquarium. They also have buses to Patong , Phuket Town for shopping or the Big C Mall.

There are stalls at the back of the weekend market selling collectables.
