Best place for honeymoon in Thailand?

Hello TA friends,

I need your help in deciding my honyemoon location,

1. 5-6 nights

2. 4/5 star hotels/resorts with beach view

3. June2010 last week

4. we both are not swimmers :(

What I am looking for is

1. Which is good honeymoon location in Thailand (Phuket, Koh samui or any other place)?

2. List of agents who can give us best package deal, any suggestions?

3. If any one has suggestion on any specific hotel/resort/flight please share.

4. how much we should be spending in hotel/resort?

An ideal location for a honeymoon is Pranburi, in Prachuabkirikhan province, a little south of Hua Hin. Rural coastline with some great beaches, and very nice high quality resorts. Lots of day trip options too.

Its quite easy to make the bookings yourself online.

If you are looking at quiet relaxtion plus the chance to do trips to nearby national parks, close to rural life, and enjoy comfort but secluded have a look at the Evason Six Senses Resort and Spa in Pranburi, about 40 mins south of Hua Hin ( if you want night markets, over the water restaurants, temples, vineyards, Thai show etc ) lots of places to visit.

For bouitique style luxury Aleenta in same area, much smaller than Evason and pricey but it's 'small luxury' style

If you wanted closer to town the Intercontinental Hua Hin is lovely good for close to dining out

Weather wise in June driest beach area.

If you want more touristy with nightlie at that time of year lok at the honeymoon and couples orientated resorts on Koh Samui which also have ok weather in June.

If you can tell us how you would like to spend your days and evenings it's a great help to get a feel for what you are looking for, whether you have interests in nature, culture, dining etc

Koh samui does have lovely beach resorts ideal for couples / honeymoon, they range from reasonable to very expensive so an idea of budget is needed.

Your mention that you are non swimmers suggests to think you may be seeking somewhere that has more attractions that just beach orientated. Koh Samui is nice in June but you may be 'somewhat' limited on activities so it does come down again to how you want to spend your day / evenings.

Phuket would be probably cheaper as it is low season in June.

We have stayed in the Evason rawai and the Le Meridien Patong, both lovely, although the Le meridien does have a lovely beach. Le Meridien Khoa lak lovey too but a bit out the way!
