Where to stay and Similan liveaboard recomendations.

Hi we are going to be making our way down from Laos mid-December and were looking to do a 3 - 4 day liveaboard to do some diving in the Similan Islands... we would be staying in the area for approx 2 weeks... i would welcome recomendations for a reasonably priced liveaboard company and accomodation in the Koh Lak and Koh Lanta areas!!

Thx!:D

For Similan you should stay at Khao Lak it's near the pier to go to Similan islands :)

Important for the liveaboard: do a trip of minimum 4 days/4 nights. The shorter trips are either rushed or don't dive at all the highlights.

Hi Daniel

Since you want to do a Liveaboard to The Similans it would be better to base yourself at Khao Lak as opposed to Koh Lanta. The best way to see the Similan and Surin Islands is by at least a 4 day cruise on a Liveaboard boat.

Enjoy!
