Phuket Richard.....thanks thanks and thanks

Hi to all you Thai lovers.

We just got back from the most wonderful vacation we ever had. A big reason for the succes was Phuket Richard and his wonderful wife Megume.

We had the oppoirtunity to enjoy Song Khran, the Thai New year, like the lokals do. Richard and Megume had arranged an all day long trip in their TukTuk's, We were promises to get soaking wet......and so we did. After a short filling up water in big bins on the trucks, we were ready to go out to get wet and to get others wet. Richard and Megume had arranged for water guns with a longer range that normal, so we could hit almost anyone, even the police and other dry people. After e few hours we went for new water supplies. Again splashing water on everyone we passed. Then lunch that R + M had prepared. Again getting wet and splashing water on every victim we could find. After seven hours getting soaking wet we had a nice 7 meal fish dinner at a local restaurant, near R +M's office.

What a day... we havent laughed so much for a long time. Richard....I'm sure you wont get rich on a trip like this.....1000 bath....crazy prize...it was worth double or tripple. Also thanks for the other trips we joined....but they will come up in here later.

If you are going to Phuket.....get in tutch with Richard....he and Megume are persons you will never forget.

Hi Apollon Ole & Lone

Thanks for the wonderfull thumbs up and we're happy to hear you are still having good memories of your time with us in Phuket. With the 20 forum members who joined us this year it was indeed our best "Songkran" celibration yet. Just like the Loy Krathong Festival in November we had a great time introducing first time visitors like yourself to the South of the Island. Maybe when it starts to get cold back there next year you will dig out your Phuket photos and begin to think about joining us for next years celibration.

The wind has changed direction as the "monsoon" weather system starts to move to us on the West Coast but we are still having great sunny weather in the daytime. The only beach that is not really effected by the winds and waves much is down on Rawai beach where we stopped for our BBQ seafood dinner after the elephant rehab center. I hope you will both have a chance to return and enjoy it again someday in the future.

Warm Regards From Phuket

Richard & Megumi
