Hi all, we are planning a trip in South east asia from Oz in May 13. Our plan is to fly into Singapore, spend a few days there; then catch the o/nite train up to KL for a few days then catch the train into Thailand to Hat Yai and bus to Phuket where we are planning on staying for approx 10 weeks as a base while we explore Thailand. Then back to KL and fly out of south east asia. Can you tell me if I have it correct that we do not need visa's for Singa and KL as they are only short stays but we would need a 60 day tourist visa for Thai - can this be extended another 30 days in Phuket or do we need to go to Bangkok to extend? Also with Singa & KL travel will they want to see forward tickets to show we are leaving the country...would the prebooked train tickets to Thailand be enough for this?
