Hi Tom and Gem. Have a look at cathyandgarystravelpages . They have done this trip quite a few times.

On the way to Krabi you pass through Phang Nga province, which also has a lot to see and do. I think it is likely you will want to stay longer as there is a lot to see and do.

Krabi is a province so covers a wide area, there are lovely sights, yes it would be a long day, there are lots of tours and those would take you 'straight' to the tourist attractions / best sights to see so you don't have to worry finding places.

You have probably seen the photos of the beautiful scenery and beaches, but you want to be sure you get to see those places, so perhaps a tour might be best way to go. Up to you.

Hi Tomandgem,

Its a great trip and depending where you leave from its about a 3 hour drive from Phuket to Ao Nang, that's one of the main little seaside towns of Krabi Provence. As the others have said there are many things to see along the way and some beautiful scenery especially around the Phang Nga Provence, its a beautiful part of Thailand and well worth the drive.

Cheers, Pete
