Hi Cazz.

As far as I know there is no floating market anywhere near Phuket. Bangkok has one.

There is the village on stilts, Kho Panyi, which is sometimes referred to as the floating village. This village is a very interesting place, and has plenty of tourist stuff for sale, but shopping there is not really a drawcard. Plenty of pearls and the usual tourists stuff, but interesting in other ways.

Panyi is in Phang Nga Bay, and most trips to the bay include lunch at the village. These trips also have the best limestone karst scenery, great canoeing and heaps of other stuff. Many different ways to visit the bay, sail boat, big sea canoe boat, speed boat, long tail boat.

Good luck,

Mark.
