Ayara Hilltops - Surin OR Twinpalms

Off with the girlfriend next June....

Both mid 20's....doing Dubai first then Thailand.

Love high end classy resorts, will spend more time by the pool than the beach, although will stroll out on evenings for walks down the beach and to local restaurants/bars for places to eat and relax...

INDIGO PEARL looks nice too?

Appreciate input!

Thanks

The Surin, situated on pansea bay, is best if you want a beautiful private beach. Twin palms is more classy & better if you prefer a pool as it is not directly on the beach. Also twin palms is a shorter walk to the restaurants & bars on Surin beach. Having said that I stay more often at the Surin as I prefer a private beach.

Cannot comment on Ayara Hilltops as I have never stayed there but looks very nice when I drive past it.

Thanks for the response...also..

We can opt for a private villa with its own pool if we stay at the Renaissance Phuket resort and Spa...so i guess thats all the options

We have chosen Renaissance for our trip in May 2014. We have heard that there are a few local beach restaurants near by, and there is a shuttle to their sister resort JW Marriot every hour I believe.

Stayed at Ayara in 2009 for Honeymoon, absolutely beautiful. they have their own spot on the beach that they'll drive you to and there are some nice restaurants and bars by the beach. pool is nice too, though we spent more time at the beach

I've been to both of these and would go for the Ayara if I were you, I didn't like the Twin Palms much, it's too crowded

thanks!

Some people have said Kata Beach might be a better area as more to do like bars, restaurants etc?

So if thats the case then Avista Phuket Resort and Spa has to be a high contender...

Ayara i like as its so traditional thai....twinpalms just looks very classy

In June wanting local restaurants/bars I think Kata or Kamals would be better than Surin, which would be too quiet IMO.

If in the Surin area Twin Palms would nicer for a stroll to local eateries.
