Phuket walking street

Hi,

Has anyone been into Phuket on a Sunday arvo/night and been to the walking street markets?

Hmmm nobody else is jumping in here so I will.

Not sure if you are talking about the Weekend markets in Phuket town or something else.

Weekend markets start about 3-4pm Saturday and Sunday, and are an experience

Hi

We went to the Walking Street Market before Phuket Night Markets last Sunday on the advise of our driver Panya. There was a lot of stalls selling all sorts of interesting looking food, a few handicraft type stalls, nice atmosphere, quite crowded. Worth a visit if you're on the way to the Night Markets.

Thanks Lesley I was actually thinking about going there first before the night markets.

We had planned last year to do the walking market at Fishermans wharf in Koh Samui until we got to comfortable sitting in bean bags on the beach drinking cocktails.

Love that about Phuket always something new to go and see.

Thanks for the link Cathy.

The sunday market at Phuket Town is definitely worth a visit. You experience some parts of the actual town, which have a lot of history. Some of the buildings are very nice. You can also find more info about the market at jamie's phuket blog.

You can buy a lot of local stuff at this market, and at the same time find some good street food.

Hope you will enjoy.
