Hiring Drivers for Sight Seeing & Transport between Cities

When in Thailand and Cambodia we have hired drivers very inexpensively ro as little a $20-25 USDs per day plus fuel for driving us to sights for the day or between cities. We really like the flexibility as well as meeting some interesting drivers. Is this possible in Viet Nam? and at similar prices? If not what are similar options. Thank you.

in vietnam, it is usually to hire a driver and a car with the trip, or the total of price per day. It means the rate includes a driver, petrol, toll and parking fee. For example for a full day Hue City tour with 4-seat car is 31 USD and and you can choose up to 5 places to visit

hope this will help you

Between cities is more expensive depending on distance. For example, Hue to Hoi An averages about USD60. Longer trips are harder as you generally have to pay for your driver's food and accommodation.

How do you find a good, reliable driver who speaks some English?
