Vietnam Weather in August

I am planning on a trip to Vietnam in August. Would anyone be able to share information about August weather in Hanoi, Sapa, Cat Ba Island and Mui Ne. We have heard about rain in August and are wondering how much rain we will experience and will it hinder our trip.

Thank you for your help!

Just be prepared for overwhelming humidity! (That's not just an August thing, though; that's all the time!) Sapa will be lovely, though, as the elevation helps with the temperatures that can be quite high around that time. Definitely expect some rain at least in Sapa. The North doesn't follow the wet season/ dry season pattern clearly like the South does.
