Hong Kong

My wife, kids and I are planning a trip to Hong Kong early November.

Where to stay?

Our budget per night for a hotel room is about $280.

I've heard good things about the Mongkok metro station area.

We'll have our almost 3 years old twins with us.

How many days is enough?

I know one can spend as little as 2 days or twenty days. But what's a good amount of time?

We'd like to see the sights, eat in good restaurants and stroll around. Nothing special on the agenda.

We'd like to travel for a fortnight and realize that may be a bit too much time for HK. So we're thinking of spending 5 nights in HK, then taking a direct flight to Hanoi,Vietnam for 4 nights then returning to HK for another 3 nights then returning home.

Is early November a good time to visit?

Any thoughts? Tips?

Thanks :)

this time is high season in VN, the weather is alittle cold in HN but fine to travel, with 4 nights I think you could take half day for city tour(if you arrive HN soon can take full day) ,1 day for daily tour to Ninh Binh, then take 2D1N on a boat trip to Ha long bay.
