Outside/surrounding Dalat?

Any good, small villages outside Dalat to visit and are also good for photography and within a day trip time?

The Ta Nung commune in West-Southwest (it belongs to Da Lat) has more than 4,000 ethnic villagers from 13 different groups.

Take Hoang Van Thu to rural highway 725.

If you go further past Nam Ban, you can visit the Linh An Pagoda and the Elephant Fall (Thac Voi).

Further away is the Lac Duong district of Lam Dong, to the North and Northeast of Da Lat.

There are nearly 20,000 ethnic villagers that live in five communes (Lat, Da Sar, Da Nhim, Da Chais, and Dung K'Noh.)

Take So Viet Nghe Tinh to Dankia toward Lac Duong township on the way to the Lang Biang mountain.

You might want to contact one of the Easy Riders groups located near the Hoa Binh/Truong Cong Dinh area.

It's a much tamer version of a backpacker district (TCD and Tang Bat Ho) ; it's just to the northeast of the main market, in walking distance.

John P - Thanks for the advice. Sounds as if it should be worth a stop. I know where the Easy Riders are as I've been to their place before. Thanks again.
