Cheap flights from Bangkok to Hanoi???

Hi everyone--

A friend and I are planning on going from Bangkok to Hanoi next month and I was wondering if anyone knows the average price for flights? We've been looking them up online and the lowest price we've found has been about $300USD. Was wondering if it's cheaper just to wait until we get to Bangkok to book? Or if anyone knows of any discount air carriers that fly from Bangkok to Hanoi that we could book online ahead of time?

Thanks for the help

I booked via Airasia.com , a return ticket bangkok - Hanoi total $70,- , this was a special price ,only had to pay taxes .

The earlyer you book the cheaper it is .

From April, Air Asia now flies from BKK to Ho Chi Minh City also. If you need to cover the whole country, fly into one end and out from the other end.

Air France is having promotion from BKK to Vietnam starting from 4,600 Baht.

Lufthansa BKK to HCMC starts from 4,000 Baht but for members only.

Nok Air flies from BKK to Hanoi.

Check Pacific Airlines website also for slightly lower fares than Vietnam Airlines.

You can book online with all of them.

Before knowing all these, we flied so many trips with Thai Airways at 300 US$. What a waste!
