Hanoi - any 'must do' suggestions

Hi

travelling in October/November this year for the first time to Vietnam for our honeymoon.

We're going HCMC-Hoi An - Hanoi - Halong Bay - Hanoi - HCMC. We're going to be spending 4 days in Hanoi, 2 days on either side of Halong Bay - any suggestions or day trips anyone can suggest? Is 4 days too long in Hanoi? Any advice would be appreciated

Hi Maggie,

Some day trips from Hanoi that you might want to take: Perfume Pagoda, Duong Lam ancient village, Ninh Binh. However, it is better to do Ninh Binh with two days one night.

Happy travels!

Since two full days will be spent travelling to or in Halong Bay 2 days is essentially all the time in Hanoi as I understand your post. I would spend one day seeing sites of Hanoi - see Things to Do. Hanoi on TA and the other day just wandering to Old Quarter and taking In the ambience.

You must go to Bia Hoi corner and have Bia Hoi. Great experience.

hi,

I think if you come to Vietnam, you should come to Ninh Binh landscape. It's one of the three the most attractive places in northern Vietnam, two rest places are Sapa and Ha Long Bay travel. Ninh Binh tourism is famous for extremely majestic and charming landscape. And if you have a long trip in Vietnam, you can go to Nha Trang beach, it's a very beautiful beach in Vietnam.

Happy honeymoon!
