Siem Reap to Phnom Penh

We are two people that need to get from Siem Reap to PP.

Does anyone have a travel agency, driver etc. that would take us?.

How long would it take by car, boat etc?

What is the name of the boat that goes? How long does it take?

Has anyone traveled this route? Can you make suggestions for us.

It looks like it's a small plane that flies between these two places. I think I'd rather drive/boat it.

Hi there,

We did a bus trip between PP & SR with a company called Sok Sokah and there are many others Mekong express is an other. It was $9.00 US and our hotel booked it for us and all the hotels do the bookings . We were picked up from our hotel and its a 5and a half hour trip and a great way to see a good part of Cambodia. It stops half way for a half an hour for food and restroom stop and they provide water for you. The seats are airline style that recline and they have curtains on the windows if you want to snooze.

Cheers, Pete

We have just returned from Cambodia and we did the drive between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap.

It took about 5 hours. We left at 9.30am and had a 30 minute break for lunch and arrived at our hotel in Siem Reap at 3.15pm.

We enjoyed the trip as you certainly see the countryside and how the people live.

We went by taxi. I had emailed our taxi driver (who was recommended on line) before leaving home and he picked us up from the airport on the night we arrived, then took us around all next day to see the sights of Phnom Penh. Then we were driven to Siem Reap. When we returned to Phnom Penh, he was at the airport to meet us and he gave us another half day tour of Phnom Penh. Next morning he took us to the airport.

He was very reasonably priced and he was a good driver who spoke English well. His name is Mr. Ben Wee and his email address is benweekh@yahoo.com
