Honeymoon from 10th september

I am looking for a premium location preferably a Water Villa where the water could be fantastic for swimming and clean.. Are there any hotels with crystal clear water like Maldives?

Help will be appreciated.

8 days away and you still at planning stage. These islands are very popular, difficult to get rooms if late booking.

Yes first I was planning for Maldives only.. I am staying there for 7 days now wanted to extend my honeymoon so want to stay for 7 days here in Malaysia. Do you have idea of best hotels with Water Villas in these places? Or any personal experience?

Nothing in Malaysia would compare with the Maldives. If you are already experiencing 7 days in the Maldives, why try and repeat the experience in Malaysia? Do something different in Malaysia or just extend your stay in the Maldives.

Hi

Agree with Jadamros, there is NOTHING in Malaysia that compares with the Maldives. You will find a few over water bungalows around the country, and Pangkor Laut is very popular with Honeymooners, but you won't find anything like the Maldives. The beaches are not as white and the water is not nearly as clear or as blue.

If you want to come to Malaysia, then visit for an Malaysian Experiance as Jadamros says. For example, fly to Kota Kinabalu, stay at the Sharing-la Rasa Ria and visit the Orang-utans! Another option is Pom Pom - but more difficult to get to.

Thank you so much everyone for your feedback.

Unfortunately I am out of time now and have to make quick decisions.

How could I spend my 7 days in Malaysia? This will be the first time I will be visiting Malaysia and I know there are many things to do in Malaysia. But what fits Honeymoon is quiet unclear. Can you guys advise what should I focus for my 7 days stay and which cities should I focus?

I was looking for the beaches since there was a wrong misconception with me that Malaysia as well is famous for the beaches. But now when I know they are not I will try to look for something different.

Thank you everyone.

What is there exactly? And why is difficult to get there? Booking problem or some other problem?

Your requirements are:

1) Water Villas

2) Premium hotel

3) Crystal clear waters

Unfortunately in Malaysia you cannot get all three in one location. At best you can get 2 out of 3.

The following are the water villas to be found in the country:

1) Golden Palm Tree, Sepang - murky water, bad location

2) Avillion, Port Dickson - murky water, bad location

3) Lexis, Port Dickson - murky water, bad location

4) Pangkor Laut Resort, Pangkor Laut island - premium, not crystal clear

http://www.pangkorlautresort.com/

5) Berjaya Langkawi, Langkawi island - not crystal clear

http://www.berjayahotel.com/langkawi/

6) Kapalai - crystal clear but more of a dive resort on a sandbar

http://sipadan-kapalai.com/

7) Gayana Eco-Resort, Gaya island - crystal clear, mixed reviews

http://www.gayana-eco-resort.com/index.php

8) Mabul Water Bungalows, Mabul island - crystal clear but more of a dive resort

http://www.mabulwaterbungalows.com/index.cfm

9) Gem Island Resort & Spa, Gemia island - crystal clear but not premium

I still think none of the above will compare to the Maldives, and you would be better off extending your stay in the Maldives, especially since you have left it so late.
