Belize TA Destination Expert Needs your advice pls

Greetings all, I am a Belize travel specialist and Destination Expert for TA for Belize. I'll visit Malaysia in Aug and wanted suggestions and tips of the sort which I always offer to travellers to Belize on TA. Suggestions welcomed. Best way to fly from US to Malaysia? East or west coast, as I have to fly into the US from Belize. Best departure airports would be Miami, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, N Carolina but can from any US city. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to this side of the world. Before we can even start, pls give us more detail. What's your preference? Beach? City? Nature? Shopping?

How many days? How long you would be here? What's your budget?

Please do a bit of reading on some JBR and the FAQ which had been painstakingly compiled by the DEs on this forum to be a starting point for newcomer here.

Most people would be able to come up with a simple or rough holiday plan after reading. We would be more than happy to give our comments and suggestions to fine tune your plan.

Hi

As a DE you know how difficult it is to answer such general questions . . .

Malaysia is 10x the size of Belize, and is split into 2 parts 44,000 kmsq compared to 400,000kmsq.

So agree, need to know all the info', how many days, what time of year are you travelling, what about you / likes / dislikes, budgets / requiremets etc, how do you plan to get about, what do you want to see and do when away, what sort of experiences are you looking for, where are you planning to fly into, have you looked at skyscanner for the flights??? etc etc etc

and more importantly . . . . . What have you looked at and what have you discounted as a no!

The key, as you will know as a DE, is posting a good well researched question to get those really great answers and replies.

I hate to say this, but if you do some research before asking a question it will help you get better, more detailed and useful answers from the TA community and we'll happily help you fill in the gaps.

You also need to consider your actual budget, likes and dislikes, your expectations for the holiday, your style, your requirements / must haves or must avoids, how far do you want to travel and how you want to travel, what have you shortlisted, what appeals and what have you thought ‘no way’ etc etc etc.

What we do when we fancy a new place or can not decide [ and please forgive the cut and paste] is have a good read on sites like this one, pop into a good book store and read a travel guide on the destinations you fancy visiting.

In the various forums where you want to travel look at the green banner at the top of this page and check out the ‘Travel Guide’ / ‘Inside Guides’ [in the MORE tab] and ‘Things To Do’ which list lots of pointers of what to see and where to go as well as other information like restaurants, and Hotels tab where you see the full range of hotels / apartment rental / B&Bs etc for that area, see what appeals to your actually budget and you can also look at nearby hotels on a map, as well as read recent reviews

then on the right check out FAQs / top questions about . . . . . .

--------------------------->

Everyone forgets or misses the Top or Frequently Asked Questions/FAQs [especially if using smart phones], which are packed with lots of really great information about lots of really useful information!! If you are accessing TA via the smart phone app’ you won’t see the Green Banner or FAQs in the normal app view on your phone, so suggest that you view the app it as full site mode / desk top view; or just use a laptop or pc to enjoy the information that has been collected. The Top Questions / FAQs ---> are on the right of all forum pages, you may have to click on ‘show more’ to reveal the full list!

Also read JBR / just back reports / trip reports etc or search and read some of the questions already posted in this forum. Lots of really useful information about already posted.

There are some really useful information and brochures from the Tourism Malaysian about many places in Malaysia, have a read and see what appeals: www.tourism.gov.my/en/Master/Web-Page/Places or tourism.gov.my/en/… These are backed with lots of really great information!

Or have a look at Trip Advisors sister website, Virtual Tourist

virtualtourist.com/travel/Asia/Malaysia/Trav…

See what appeals to you, your time schedule, your style, your likes / dislikes and your budgets, as like most general questions guess the suggestion has to be research, and then we can help you fill in the blanks.

We were traveling to Malaysia

We are a family of 4 adults; including 2 senior citizens; one child 15 year old, one 12 year old and one 3 year old

SO various likes and preferences in the group

From 11 October to 18 October

Friends have advice to cover Singapore also in the same trip

So have decide will start with Malaysia; first from Penang then Lankawi then Kuala Lampur and finally to Singapore

I need advise how many days I should stopover in the various cities as I will have to do pre-book hotel s accordingly

Could you please advise if the above path of travel is correct from Dubai?

Also if you could list the not to be missed places in Malaysia and Singapore (as over internet I could finds too many tourist places listed)

Crikey - it is better to post a new question rather than hijack someones post!

You have 8 days. Only 8 days and 7 nights. Which includes the days you arrive and depart. You are planning far too much. Stick with 2 places.

I need advise how many days I should stopover in the various cities as I will have to do pre-book hotel s accordingly

A] If you only have 8 days, then it is 2 days per place, which means only 1 full day, and that is not worth it.

Could you please advise if the above path of travel is correct from Dubai?

A] sorry, not sure what you mean. Dubai is in the UAE, which is no where near Malaysia.

Also if you could list the not to be missed places in Malaysia and Singapore
