Huduranfushi OR Summer Island Village??

Im looking at booking our honeymoon for two weeks all inclusive and was wondering which people would recommend. Were both quite active people but can also laze by a pool all day so were looking for somewhere with a little bit of everything.

Second thing, Has anyone ever flown to maldives with monarch? Flew to portugal a couple years back and they were rubbish, any better long haul?

many thanks

Hi adam

I have not been to huduranfushi but i have been to summer island, it is a good budget island but there is no pool so the only lazing you will do is on the beach, they do snorkel trips twice a day which are very popular, the watersport centre and dive school are also excellent, we flew monarch and it was ok, we booked extra legroom which made all the difference, the staff were very pleasant so all in all for monarch it was acceptable

Summer isle if you have to--others would be better for you -- Look at Sun, Huduran not settled sorted yet.

Hi,we went to summer island in january last year,it is basic and more basic than other islands we have been to but really nice, its good value for money and yes no pool, but you dont need one the sea is so beautiful! Monarch were actually really very good, one of the best flights ive had and ive flown a lot,if you check in early, very early and ask for the seats at the back you get loads of legroom and just two seats together. Fihalhohi may be worth a look for you, lovely water bungalows,we got that for the same price asxa standard room on summer island and we go tomorrow!!!!!

Have been to SIV - my review should be up in a couple of days. Yes it is simple but clean and good value. No swimming pool other than the sea.

Snorkeling is 2 free trips a day and 2 others to reefs (pay) off the island but the fish variety around the island is good.

Water sports are non motorised, there is a dive school, a spa we didn't use it but others said it was good.

You can do either sea plane transfer(30min) or boat(1.45).

Re Monarch - like others NOT impressed so book 4 extra leg room either in advance or get there early.

Adam,

I wouldnt look at Fiha at the moment--with whats going on, as ive said with you wanting semi active , look at Sun, but if you want something like Fiha the Elliahdoo might be an idea.

Yes it would probably be better than the other two...

Huduranfushi apparantly has some nice bungalows and some nice restaurants (when they are actually operating) as compared to Summer... Neither has anything to speak of when it comes to house reefs if that is a priority for you.

Keredu really depends on what you are getting for this price... There are some really nice bungalows on Kerudu and some that arent so nice... The reef situation is defintely better than the other two.
