Most Similar Resort to Mirihi in Fiji

I stayed at Mirihi this year and absolutely loved everything about it. We are planning a trip to Fiji next year, and I'm looking for a resort that is similar to Mirihi in terms of having gourmet food and a world class house reef. I also like the smaller, intimate feel where you never feel overcrowded. Does anyone have any suggestions as to a similar resort in Fiji? The islands that I am considering are Taveuni and Kadavu, but i'm open to other suggestions. Excellent diving is also a prerequisite.

Thanks in advance!

I really like the following Island

www.navinifiji.com.fj/

Only 10 Villa and 36 staff!

I think the only bit people might be bit off by is sharing dinner time. aka 1 big table

It's a shame that Fiji is so far away because that island looks great.

Aylith,

Navini looks amazing! Thank you. I actually created a spreadsheet to show the pros and cons of the different resorts, and one of my criteria is that dining must be private. We did the shared dining once, and while we met some nice people, it was tedious and rigid. Fiji resorts seem to love the shared tables, and it's been a challenge to find one that isn't shared.

Thanks again!

If you want a beautiful place to stay, and much cheaper than Mirihi, look at Navuatu Stars Resort on Yaqeta Island in the Yasawa Island.

Right on the Blue Lagoon as Turtle Island is also.

http://www.boutiqueresortfiji.com/ or

http://www.navutustarsfiji.com/resort.html

We stayed there in June this year. So beautiful and so secluded with the best staff. No tourist crowds, only 9 bures. The Yasawa Islands group in Fiji are away from the tourist scene and the villagers in Fiji are so happy and friendly.

Check the reviews.

Also look at Turtle Island Resort, just south of Navutu Stars.

We are planning on going to Laucala Island Resort next year and can't wait - you won't find reviews for this special place on TA - exclusive.

http://www.laucala.com/#Home

if you want overwater bungalows the only place in Fiji is Likuliku Resort

Anyway check the sites and see what you think.

Why don't you post on the Fiji forum?

Thank you lifetraveller for the recs. I have posted on the Fiji forum in the past, but in this case I am seeking the opinion of those who have visited Mirihi specifically.
