Can anyone recommend a good dive shop in Cheshire/Merseyside

Made the mistake of not buying own mask, snorkel etc for my first trip and with Xmas looming I hope to take advantage of Santa's generosity sort myself out.

I understand from previous posts it's best to go and try on the mask but does anyone in the north know of a decent shop?

Any recommendations ref snorkel fins etc...

We always go to Aquaventurers in Liverpool. probably not the cheapest or easiest to find (it's down a little back street and you have to buzz an intercom to get access to their shop upstairs. Very helpful though, and a good range of stock.

We bought a pair of Tusa Xpert zoom fins from them, about £20 a pair. Really good.

Looks good thanks Ian.

How much does a decent mask go for?

Probably about £30 upwards. It's all about getting one to fit and the lads there will give you all the help you need.

As David says, Northern Divers are also a good bet, I haven't been, but know people who have.

Ian

Ps they are closed on Mondays, and possibly Sunday as well.

Sorry, to clarify and I couldn't re-edit - that was Aquaventurers I was talking about being closed Sunday & Monday.

You've just reminded us, other half's dive computer needs to go in for new batteries :-)

Know it's been awhile but just wanted to thank you all for the advice, just purchased my first mask with Xmas pennies!

I now appreciate what you mean about how important it is to find one that fits your face. I tried about 8 different masks and they were all so very different.

3 months to go to Reethi and getting very excited about the schools of fish and coral garden trip.

Once again thanks just wished I'd listened before my first trip.
