honeymoon june/july 2014

Hi, we are looking for somewhere to go on honeymoon 23 of June 2014 for 2/3 weeks and are considering the Maldives however we are worried about the weather. We really want a luxury beach front room with private plunge pool and also would like some good restaurants and some evening atmosphere which may not be available in the Maldives?

Our budget is about 10-12k including flights, we are coming from the UK. We have also considered St Barts and Hawaii and also Lomok/Bali. Any thoughts advice would be really appreciated. Thanks!

the weather ... its rainy season but its unlikely that you'll have 3 weeks washed out . your greatest chances are for a mix of rain , lots of clouds and some sun.

Hawaii versus Maldives ? no comparison ... not anywhere of the same vacation experience . you will have to decide what you are looking for .

"evening athmosphere" ... if that means nightlife then you won't find much of it . if it means beautiful sunsets and starry skies then yes.

10-12 k what ? dollars ?

Thanks, our budget is in euros and we don't want a nightlife but just a choice of restaurants and maybe some quiet bars by the beach. Our main requirements are weather, nice hotel and good food:)

I've not been to St Barts but have been to nearby St Maarten and unless you want to spend oodles of dosh on a piece of jewellery then the Maldives wins it every time. Much nicer place and better quality resorts to me than in the Caribbean.
