Seaplane tour/excursion

Hello all,

Does anyone know if it is possible to take a small seaplane trip to get those iconic aerial views of the atolls? The islands we are leaning towards are close enough to Male for a boat transfer so we are hoping to be able to book a private tour. Just want a short ride to get the view. I did a pretty extensive search on these forums but didn't come across this information. Thank you all!

Not cheap to charter, but doable....remember also to factor in the cost to get back to male take the plane and then go back to your island.

Maybe look at islands that are not boat transfer away,,,,,

Some of the islands within speedboat distance of Male (Biyadhoo being one) will arrange a seaplane flight of around 15 minutes but it depends on whether they have a minimum number of people sign up for it.

As Froggy implies, if you chose an island with a seaplane transfer then you'll get your seaplane trip anyway. I don't know how much charter trips are, but a seaplane transfer to your island may not cost any more than a private tour. And if by private tour you mean only you on the plane then that could be quite expensive. The TMA link isn't working at the moment to check prices.
