2 Adults, 2 Kids(age 11, 11)- How many room(s) need to book?

We are planning a trip to Maldives in this summer with our twin daughters age of 11. I read somewhere most of hotels only allow 3 occupant in one room. is it true? Also which hotels are best with kids? Specially girls almost entering in teens. Most of the review I read are from couples on honeymoon. My daughters are true lovers of beach and sand but they do like activities in group as well as tech toys!!

have you checked the FAQ "which islands are/aren't suitable for children?" ?

the most often recommended and very suitable resorts are bandos in budget range and centara grand in mid range . centara has very nice family villas that would house all 4 .
