Old Mirihi versus New Mirihi.....

(.....or otherwise known as the 10k drum roll ready for the fair spammie-mermaid of Mirihi.....!!!!!)

What do we think the new Mirihi will be like after the refurb....anything more than rumours now about how it will actually change?

Ok, not hearing any rumors yet but something new today...

Old Mirihi -- someone just saw a Whale Shark at the house reef! ( details in the latest resort review, wow, what a treat!)

New Mirihi, hopefully it will be my turn next time! Still can't believe my buddy saw two mantas swam by the reef and did not immediately dragged me closer! -- I was only a few meters away from him!!

On the German forum I read that apart from extending the villa decking, they are considering a pool and some family sized accommodation.

I hope they won't make too many changes. It's perfect the way it is! Well, maybe expand the villas a bit, but I hope they don't aim to attract more families. I'm afraid it will ruin the intimate, romantic atmosphere of the island if they start building family villas.

When we were there there were already lots of families and some groups of friends so don't think it would necessarily attract more families but cater to them more ... lots of people like a pool and again it would increase their attractiveness, therefore minimising any empties. Just thinking from their point of view. If it had been up to is they would prohibit under 12s ;)
