Solo traveler want to do Open Water Padi on Maldives

Hi All

As mentioned iam a solo traveler and i want to go to the Maldives alone to get my Padi Open Water. So iam looking for the most basic / cheap accomodation with good dive facilities on a small island with nice reefs and great dive and snorkeling. And ofcourse a small bar to drink some beers in the evening.

Any advice is more then welcome.

Biyadhoo for one. Some of the cheapest diving ive seen with basic accommodation and a nice little bar. Ari atoll is lauded as the best diving with some budget resorts such as Elaidhoo and Gangehi (not so budget) and also Bathala but few agents seem to carry it. Eriyadu and Embudu also.

Madoogali is another budget island with a great reef at north Ari Atoll.
