Hi g,

Yes for sure, as long as you pick wisely.

For the more sportive: choose an area with lots of watersports, e.g. Bentota (Lihiniya Surf hotel?). And have at least one long day at Kitulgala for wild water rafting. If you're thinking of a round trip, there's also 1/multi-day eco trekkings and canoing trips in the inland.

For the more party-minded: Hikkaduwa and Unawatuna have long-night 'scenes' though it's not completely like the Spanish costas.

All the best,

<Erik> & [Sandya]

Agree with Nishanta! Assuming he means the Kalu-aggala water leisure park. Worth at least half a day and not far from Kitulgala. So better have a beach hotel not far from there (e.g. Wadduwa) or at Kitulgala itself, to combine with the rafting day.

Have (water) fun,

Hi

WE travelled to Sri Lanka with our 18 yr old daughter and 15 yr old son, this July and we all had a fantastic time. We toured the island with a driver and guide and some of the things we did included

Elephant Orphanage

White water rafting

Riding on an elephant

Visiting two game parks and seeing elephants and leopards

Staying on an eco retreat

Staying on a tea plantation

4 days on the beach at Unawatuna

A six hour train journey through the hills

I think the main thing is to do lots of different things in different places and they won't get bored. If you are just going to stay on the beach you might as well saty in Europe.

If you want any more details or the name of the company we used please ask

If you say how long you are going for I am sure you will be inundated with suggestions for itineries

A lot depends on what your 17 and 15 year old like
