They marked up 2.5 times on our train tickets without informing us that we would be paying this much. If its been an informed decision we would have been okay but we only realised we have been reaped off when we met a US tourist on board the same train same carriage that he paid 2.5 times less than what we have paid for! We were told only that there will be USD8 admin fees which we were perfectly fine with it but not the fact that the tickets would also be marked up 2.5 times more! Their explaination is that this is what they paid to the supplier - fine - but they should have advised us this when we were requesting about the rates! When we confront them they then send the train tickets booking conditions - do you only show a customer what they are getting themselves into after they have paid and gone through a lousy service? The train was also not what they have advised - there was no observation gallery for the first class tickets. The train was overbooked and we have no seats, they didnt switch on the air con and it was so stuffy we almost fainted! We had to fight for seats and the staff finally gave to us after we demanded! And all these for paying 2.5 times higher that another fellow traveller (and we are not even talking about the expected higher prices foreigners are expected to pay vs local).
