Well, Binging/googling often gives quite a few contradicting results...

However temps and humidities on the coast don't differ much year round, always hot (28-32' day and not much less night) and humid (above 90%). This

is our own summary, it also tries to predict other climate dimensions. Which are worse in October than September!

All the best,

We are travelling to Sri Lanka in October. What is the best place to base ourselves for travelling and exploring the north. Is it easy to travel to and from Kandy?

We will be staying in Colombo afterwards so can see the southern section then.

Better to base in somewhere like Habarana or Dambulla

Hi im thinking about going to sri lanka from 14th to 20th aug 2013, Ive heard its monsoon season in the south. Any suggestions on where to go for a bit of nightlife and relaxing would be most appreciated. Thanks

Monsoon means wind - not rain. Most nightlife is concentrated in Colombo.
