Australian Customs - Traditional Mask

Hi all,

We are in Sri Lanka at the moment and visited the Kandy wood carving factory today... we would like to buy one of their traditional face masks as a souveneir, but we are worried about getting it through Australian customs. The back of the masks look rough and unfinished (although they say has been treated and comes with certificate). Has anyone from AUS have experience taking these through customs? Thanks, our last chance to buy is tomorrow morning...

I don't think you should worry about customs. I assume the problem will be Quarantine.

Had no problems last month - we declared our masks and they were no problem.
