Good destination between Adam's Peak and Uda Walawe?

Hi,

We're going to Sri Lanka on Thursday and we just changed our plans to try to climb Adam's Peak instead of going to Kandy. We got a reservation for Slightly Chilled for one night, but unfortunately that leaves us with one night unbooked. The night after that we are spending at Kalu's Hideaway in Uda Walawe.

Could you recommend any place to visit in between? A tea plantation would be nice, or maybe somewhere near Horton Plains?

Kind regards,

Andreas Lundin

Hi Andreas,

Ohiya is good for HP. Otherwise Haputale, that's nicely halfway towards Udu Walawe. Both are in a fullblown tea area.

All the best,

Hi,

How long does it take to get to Ohiya or Haputale from Adam's Peak (Dalhousie)?

Looking at the map, it seems you have to drive around Horton Plains to get to Ohiya.

Hi again,

You just return to Hatton, where you came from probably, and then take bus/train/cab to Eliya and further. Dalhousie to Ohiya 2:30 hours by cab, Haputale 30 mins extra.

All the best,

<Erik> & [Sandya]
