Staying at Mount lavinia in April. Which is best and closest wildlife park to visit?

Assume you have to go to Yala to see Leopards and that this is too far away unless we are happy to spend a few days away from hotel.

Happy to spend one night away from hotel with driver. Our holiday is about relaxing but we want to see a little of the country within reasonable travel distance. So we plan to see Kandy and some of the other main sites, Dambulla, Tea plantations, sig etc

Hi again,

For a 2-day trip just organise once you are there. If you are picky on accomodation do prebook that yourself already. See

tripadvisor.com/Travel-g293961-c89412/Sri-La…

for the way to find the good Mount driver/car.

All the best,

There is not much difference between morning and afternoon at Minneriya.

We went to Minneriya in the morning. It was great for birds but our driver, the safari guide and several people after said if you want to see lots of elephants afternoon is easily the best.
