Pre-book hotels in September

Hello!

Myself and two friends are planning to spend almost a month in September (Sept 5-30) travelling around Turkey. (we will be requiring 1 double room and 1 single in each place) Plan is to visit the following places: Selcuk (Ephesus), Pamukkale, Oludeniz, Cirali, Antalya, Konya, Cappadocia, Van and of course Istanbul. We will probably be using a variety of modes of transportation - flights, buses, car rentals. Would it be better to pre-book hotels in these places or will September be relatively easy to find budget, central accommodations? Obviously, any flights would need to be booked further in advance so we'd have a rough schedule.

Thanks for any insights!

howdy fellow Calgarian !!

<<. Would it be better to pre-book hotels in these places or will September be relatively easy to find budget, central accommodations? <<<

you really dont need to prebook in advance however it is better to have accommodations picked and maybe confirmed so that you are not wasting your time looking for accommodations from place yo place easpically if you dont have a car. you dont want to be dragging around your suitcases.

I would book accommodations in Istanbul and Cappadocia as they maybe busier.

also since you need 2 rooms pre-booking is better ..for Cirali why not check out family bungalows for accommodations rather than 2 rooms. ? also more economical

<<Obviously, any flights would need to be booked further in advance so we'd have a rough schedule.<<

be sure to book your flight tickets from Kayseri to Antalya or vice versa ( pegasus and sunexpress )

<<<Antalya, Konya, Cappadocia, <<<

ıf you plan this route you can only take the bus as there are only flights from Antalya, to Cappadocia,

Hi Canmom!

Seems we always connect up on here when you should be very grateful to be living there and not here anymore LOL!! (minus 32 with windchill today)

Our "itinerary" is a work in progress - we need to build it around being in Konya for a Saturday night, as well, we want to connect up with a 3 day tour from Kayseri to Mt Nehrut and Harran, waiting for the 2014 dates on that...

The family bungalows are one of the options we have on our suggestion list :)

I thought that prebooking Istanbul would be a good idea, good to know that Cappadocia would also be advisable.

Thanks!

(I'll be back with more questions, I'm sure!)
