Any recommendations for a conference hotel in Istanbul

Hi,

I am organising a conference for work this coming October in Istanbul. Has anyone any experience of this or recommendations of quality 4 or 5* hotels with conference facilities for 200+ delegates?

Also any suggestions of unique venues for group dinners or visits would be very welcome too

Thanks!

Hello Monkey2007,

We have discussed this conference venue issue before. Examine the following link in detail:

Hi Monkey,

Nearly all 4* or 5* hotels offer conference or banquet services. The one specialized in this service is Grand Cevahir Hotel. Check halls & capacities. Here's link: www.grandcevahirhotel.com/eng/index.php

Best wishes, Alper

I have just returned from a European Arbitration Conference held in the 5 star World Park Hotel. The conference accommodation was excellent as was the location only, a short distance from the Topkapi Palace and Blue Mosque.

My hotel review should be posted soon.

While we have been at Istanbul last year there was an exhibition and conference at "Swiss Hotel"in Kabatas , close to Dolmabahce Palace and to Taksim area.

I participated in an international sales & marketing meeting in the Hyatt Regency.

Very good and modern conference facilities, very professional organisation, very experienced because they host a lot of conferences of large local and international companies.

Can accomodate 200+ delegates but book early enough, October is still tourist season.

Location of the hotel is very central, close to Taxim, Metro 3 minutes. Very good restaurants in the vicinity.

Depends what you want for group dinner, close by the hotel, turkish- fish or meat?

I can make two reccomendations.

1. AVOID the HILTON PARK SA in Istanbul. It is awful. Booked it through Expedia. 4 or 5 star??? I would NOT give them more than 2 stars. Poor quality. "Garden View" room happens to be rooms overlooking a CEMETERY.

2. If you can help it, avoid booking thro' Expedia. Service sucks & nasty.
